cousin love

When my family came down last week we went to Murray Familt Farms. The kids loved picking the fruit.I had so much fun with them here.It was great to have them see my house for the first time and help me redecorate and put stuff in the right place. I love them so much and am so greatful for them and the love that we all share.Sisters, thank your husbands for letting you come and that we were able to spend time just us girls.
The kids had a great time together, Rocco thinks it is so fun to growl at Avrey and make her cry, the more she cries, the more he growls. He loved it. For a few days after they left, he kept asking where the girls were. He misses them and I am so glad that the all love eachother. Livvy is such a sweetheart and is growing to be so mature. I love them all. We can't wait for baby Easton to arrive so he can join in on the cousin fun.

How To Play This Game of Tag: Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, & 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog!

3 joys:
1. My family,There is nothing more precious to me than my sweetheart and my babies.I look forward to seeing my kids in the morning. They wake up with such happiness that it can only be contagious and put a smile on your face. Mike is so fun to be around, he is funny, though most may not see that side of him,he is silly with the kids and will sing goofy songs. I must brag for a minute too, because he is a clean man. He does the dishes and picks up after himself. It makes my life easier.
2. my mom and my sisters. If you don't know them , you are truly missing out.We are fun,we love sitting around and talking, laughing, and just being with eachother. We got to spend some time with eachother this past wek and itwas so fun to not have an agenda and just be around and watch movies ar 11:00 in the afternoon. We missed Alli but she was to close to her due to travel. I love them so much and they are all my best friend, my mom is a shinning example to me of how to pursavere and how to be a good woman, because that is what she is. My sisters are so beautiful and talented and I truly envy them and hope one day their goodness will rub off on me.
3.A clean house, I am not a clean freak, but I definately like a clean home. Life gets crazy, and when your house is at least picked up, then it helps make things more managable. Someone can come over and you don't have to worry about what your house looks like.

3 fears:
1.Often times I have really scary thoughts about how my kids might get hurt. We were standing on the pier on the beach and I thought to myself, if I were to drop Presley and she rolled under the rail and fell into the ocean, what would my plan be and how will I save her. It pains me to think of them getting hurt or dying,I don't want to go there.
2.Me dying and leaving Mike to have to figure out how to handle everything. This would be so difficult for him to try to work and find out what to do with the kids. It churns my stomach to think of some other woman replacing me and taking care of my babies. I would want him to get remarried, but it would be so hard. I will haunt the house to make sure she does everything right.
3.Loosing my husband, going through it first hand, I know how hard it would be and I don't want to feel that kind of pain. We have tried to prepare that in the event it did happen, I would be taken care of ,which gives me comfort, but I don't want to have to need it, ever.

3 goals
1. Loose weight, I want so badly to put on some jeans and feel good about myself.I want to know I look good and feel it.I did it once ,I know I can do it again, but with kids it all seems harder
2. I would one day love to run a marathon. I ran a 10k once and the feeling of accomplishment that I got was so incredible, I can only imagine what you would feel like after a marathon
3.I have had ideas of writing a childrens book. It seems fun and I have never done anything about it,but the idea of it sounds so exciting to me. I would love to make something special for my kids to have.

3 current obssesions/collections
1.I loveto watch HGTV, I love to get ideas from it and be inspired to try and do stuff in my house.
2.I am not obssesed, but Ihave found I really enjoy running, maybe I should become obsessed
3.This may sound strange, but I like to write with a good pen, my handwriitng looks so much better with a good pen, again not an obsession, but something I like

3 random facts
1. I am slightly OCD when it comes to certain things, I cannot have dishes in the sink, it drives me crazy and it makes me feel like my kitchen is a mess. I t dosen't bother me at other peoples house, just at my own. I can't get one hand wet and not the other. One wet hand seems weird.
2. I was born with some missing teeth, like 5 i think, So when I got braces the ortho had to pull all my teeth forward, leaving me with a space that I need to get implants in,but they are so expensive, Ive had my braces off for 10 years and still no implants, but I always wear my retainer so my teeth don't shift
3.My sister turned me on to yougurt and cottage cheese mixed together. It is so tastey and I think about it often. I am sure there are more facts that I can't think of right now. I love to talk so I am sure you have all heard my weirdness.

I tag,Lindsay, Niki, Alli, Shannon,and Tara

Inspirational

A few weeks ago we had stake conference,at the adult session we were given a beautiful talk. We got a babysitter so we were able to listen with open hearts. There are billboards all over town that say"pass it on", preluded by some words of wisdom. Well team Hoyt is on one of them, and they are quite the inspirational story. I am sure you have heard of them The boy has cerebral palsy, and is confined to a wheelchair. His dream was to compete in tri-athalons.He let his family know his desires by having a a device placed on his head and by the movements he made, the letters were formed on the computer screen. The father who is 60 years old has decided to do this for his son. This video is a compilation of them competing in their races.
I was so touched by this, the spirit filled the air and I stand in awe of the example of true selflessness this father portrays, I hope that my children will know that I would go to the ends of the world for them, they are my life and my joy. This is how our Heavenly Father loves us, he picks us up when we can no longer walk. He is the portrait of selflessness. I am so privleged to have the truth and to know the sacrifices that have been made in my behalf.

Remeber to turn the playlist off so that you can hear the video. I hope you enjoy!

summer time fun

So, this past week we decided to pack up the trailer and head to Newport Beach, we had a great time and loved seeing all the beautiful sights. I'll tell you one thing, that is an extremely wealthy area, Aston Martin ,Rolls Royce, Ferrari, dealarships on the corners. I guess you only have those kind of cars if the area demands it, and you only buy those cars if you have money. Not to mention you can buy your yatch while you are ther too.

Our humble abode, we stayed at the Newport Dunes, it claims it is the Ritz of rv parks, but I beg to differ.
The rv park was on the back bay, it did have some fun things, like movies in the sand and a trampoline in the water, but it came with a price
Rocco loves to chase birds, especially on the beach. He would run run run and then fall down and check to see if the sunbathing sweeties were checking him out. They were and he put on quite a show for them.
There was a fun little playground, Presley thinks she is big, she loves to do what Rocs is doing
You can't go the beach without covering someone up, He thought this was so cool and loved when his little toe would peek out.
Yes, we failed in getting family pictures, we are terrible at this, it is my goal this year to get some done. And who wants themselves looking like a lobster on camera. I got so sunburned, I do it every time, and say next time I'll be better, but I fail. Now I am peeling like crazy and rocco like to help me pick it off. Where did he learn this from? All in all we had a great time ,we went to a baseball game, went swimming, saw movies and just enjoyed being with eachother, and ate some yummy food to.

My Daddy

This blissful look one my dads face is how he felt about being a father, he loved it more than anything. His joy in his life was his girls. It takes a one of a kind man to be a father to 5 girls and he mastered the task. he was so fun and so willing to go to the ends of the earth to make his family happy. He loved to have us all gathered around and just be together. He loved my mom so much, they were true sweethearts. I always knew mom and dad loved eachother. I looked for qualties in my future husband that my dad had. Mike has similar qualities and I love that. I wish he was here to spend time with his grandkids, oh how he loved babies, but one thing I know is, he did spend time with these grandkids. He prepared them to come to this earth and I know that they know him and were sad to leave him. I know he watches out for me and I feel him around. I love you so much and that dosen't even describe it. Daddy, you are the greatest and I am so lucky to have had you as mine. How great the reunion will be.

Happy Father's Day

Doesn't it warm your heart to see a man with his kids. Nothing warms my heart more to see the love of a father for his children. Mike portrays this to the "t" he loves his kids so much and I am so grareful for that. When he comes home from work Rocco runs to door with open arms and shouts"Daddy home". He poops on the potty and says"daddy be so happy", he copies every thing his daddy does. I get a tender love swat on the bum from Mike, and Rocs runs over and gives me a good hit. Mike says "Oh snap" when things don't go right, and now Rocco says it. He loves his Daddy so much. Presley is definately a mamas girl, but if there is one person she will go to, it is her Daddy. She kicks her legs when she sees him and gives him the most adoring smile. She loves her Daddy. And I love you Mike for being their Daddy. you are so sweet and I love that you love our kids so much. Thankyou for working so hard so that I can stay home and providing a nice home for us to live in. You are extraordinary. I love you

Third times a charm

This picture seems to be a little foggy, but I decided to distress the table a bit, so I stained it. It turned out horrible, so I was painting over it really fast and frustrated and I actually ended up with something that was kind of cool. Do you like it? And if you are wondering if I dropped the stain while getting out of the car and it spilled all over the garage leaving the cement a permanent wet look, the answer would be, yes.

I wanted to get crafty ,so I made some moss balls. I think I need to paint the pots, but I think they turned out pretty good

What do we think?

I went to Walmart to get "nacho chip",a color I love and is in Rocco's room. But their computer was down and they couldn't get the formulation. so I had to pick a swatch that they could color match, and I picked a "Dutch Boy" color that looked similar, in my mind. The picture makes it look a little yellower than it is. What's the verdict?

these flowers are really orange,so you can tell the picture dosen't do it justice
random things around the house, that I put on the table

I think I like it better, it feels fresher
